What is ITIL® 4 Foundation

ITIL® 4 Foundation is an entry-level ITIL® qualification that provides an understanding of the main concepts behind ITIL®, including the life cycle stages and the terminology used.

Our ITIL® Foundation 2-day course will equip you with knowledge on how the IT Service Management Lifecycleworks and how the ITIL® framework can be used to improve service delivery and capability, all through instructor-led training and class exercises. The course includes the ITIL® Foundation exam, which is taken on the last day of training.

The course is the starting point for people wanting ITIL qualifications. The new ITIL 4 Foundation course will introduce you to service management key concepts, ITIL principles, the ITIL service value system (SVS), ITIL practices and their role in a service provider organization

About This Course

This course will ensure candidate has sufficient knowledge to:
– Understand basic concepts, terminologies, key principles, and process models of IT Service
– Management that are included in ITIL® 4 Foundation
– Appreciate the scope and objectives of service design, service strategy, service transition, continual
service improvement, and service operations
– Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ITIL® tools and techniques within the business, to
optimise user experience
– Apply lean principles and automate standard jobs to improve the efficiency of ITSM processes
– Centralize activities and functions to save on cost and time

Prerequisites:


The exam doesn’t have any prerequisites, and you don’t need to have any prior knowledge of IT Service Management to understand this course.

Study Time:


2 days (Weekend)

Who is Course Suitable for:


ITIL Foundation is suitable for anyone working in IT services, or anyone who is considering a career in IT. Also suitable for students who have studied COBIT 5 or ISO/IEC 20000, although this is not a requirement.

Exams

The format of the Foundation exam is as follows:

40 multiple choice questions. 60 minute duration with a 65% pass mark. Exam can be taken online with a web proctor (with PEOPLECERT). Students must have completed the ITIL Foundation course before requesting their exam voucher.

Learning Requirements

Any recent Desktop/Laptop/Tablet with internet connectivity and based on a modern operating system (Windows8®️,Windows7®️, Windows Vista®️, MAC OSX, Linux, iPad iOS 7, Kindle Fire, Android based Tablets) with a latest version of the Web Browser viz. Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 11, (Safari on MAC OSX).

  • 1GB RAM [512MB RAM] & at least 1GB of available hard disk space.
  • The learning application is based on HTML5 technologies and therefore the latest version of Web Browser is a pre-requsite ( Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 11).

Lion Heart Service Level Agreement (SLA) for responding to Learning enquiries are:

  • An initial acknowledgement to the enquiry is sent to the candidate within 2 working hours.
  • A full response, whether this is by email or telephone call is completed within one working day.
  • A follow up email is sent to the candidate to confirm that the enquiry has been responded to satisfactorily, and to close the enquiry.
